Mike Edge
After graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University where he played college basketball, Mike spent six years in the higher education administration and coaching arena before embarking on a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Mike has 25+ years of selling, leadership, coaching, training and organizational development experience in the business world and sports industry. He is certified in over 15 leadership, coaching, business and team development programs. He has experience with CEOs to front-line leaders, Fortune 5 to Fortune 3000 companies, University Presidents, coaching staffs and business leaders. His “others focused” approach is the foundation for each client relationship. He is the 2007 Founder, President and CEO of The Xtra Mile Group.
In addition to his professional work, Mike is active in community and church activities. When he’s not working with his clients, Mike loves traveling, hiking, golfing, and spending time with his wife and their three children.
Dave Brandt
Dave received his Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Colorado State University where he played intercollegiate football. After graduation, Dave began a successful 23-year stint in the pharmaceutical industry where he won numerous awards at every level.
Dave has over 25 years of selling, leadership, coaching and training experience in the business world and sports industry. He has built and led multiple teams as a leader and has worked to help build leaders at all levels to be at their best. Professional and personal growth of people is his driving force. His ability to connect and understand what drives others has led to his success in the industry and to the success of The Xtra Mile Group. He is currently certified in multiple leadership areas including, coaching, leadership and team development programs. In addition to his professional work, Dave is extremely active in his community and enjoys keeping physically fit. His passion is sports and coaching football and basketball. Dave loves spending time with his wife, his boys and their many pets!
Fred Crawford
Fred has over 30 years of sales, coaching, human resources, and executive leadership development experience, most of which has been in the healthcare industry. He has worked with CEOs to first-level managers, as well as individual contributors on a management track, building leadership and management skills that drive performance. Before joining The Xtra Mile Group, Fred was V.P. of Human Resources and Organizational Development at a global specialty pharma company. His ability to clearly define obstacles to performance and collaboratively build sustainable plans to improve performance has led to high achieving individuals and teams throughout his career. Fred brings significant leadership and coaching experience to any organization looking to increase performance.
Fred received his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his MBA from National University. Fred is currently certified trainer and facilitator in multiple leadership and coaching programs.
Terre Thomas
Terre Thomas is a strategic training and development professional with extensive sales, sales leadership, teaming, managed markets and learning and development experience in the pharmaceutical industry for the last 30 years. After graduating from the University of Southern California, Terre spent 23 years with Pfizer where she grew her career from a professional healthcare representative to district sales manager followed by a promotion into managed markets account management and lastly launched the pilot for the Directors of Leadership Development. She has designed and implemented national curriculum for regional and district meetings, facilitated team chartering and strategic planning for teams of vice presidents to district managers. She has facilitated national roll-outs in the areas of retention, strategic account selling, capability development, and change management. Terre implemented the first succession planning initiative in her region which led to her nomination to a National Women in Sales Leadership team that launched the talent planning initiative in U.S. Sales.
Terre has raised two sons who are happily married and loves spending time with her grandchildren. In her spare time Terre spends time as an advocate for autism, church leadership, and as a sorority advisor.
Walt Smith
Walt has over 36 years of experience in the healthcare industry including Senior Management positions in Managed Markets and Sales. He established and built the Managed Care Department at Meda Pharmaceuticals. He has over 20 years of experience in Managed Care, which includes contract development and management with both commercial and government entities. He was responsible for leading the Account Manager Teams who call on Pharmacy Benefit Managers, Health Plans, State and Federal Agencies including the Veterans Administration, State Medicaid Programs, and Medicare programs. He has also been responsible for the wholesale and retail pharmacy distribution programs.
Walt received his Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Boise State University and has been active in the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, and Healthcare Distribution Management Association, as well as being an active member of numerous industry advisory boards.
Al Triunfo
Al has over 35 years of sales, sales leadership, coaching, and leadership development experience, with several years of service at the executive team level. His experience includes leading entire field sales organizations and internal departments such as organizational development, market access and analytics. Al has a passion for helping leaders and organizations reach their fullest potential and his ability to quickly connect and effectively diagnose business challenges brings great value to our clients. His experience in change leadership and product launches is another area where he excels and provides positive solutions to the challenges of our clients.
Al earned his B.A. degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys spending time with his 5 grandchildren, cooking and playing golf. He also volunteers much of his time to the Mowat-Wilson Syndrome Foundation where he serves on the Board of Directors.
